Blazing Splendor: The Memoirs of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche
A Buddhism, Autobiography, Nonfiction book. What a fantastic read! So exciting to read about the last generation of Tibetan Buddhist masters...
Blazing Splendor paints an intimate portrait of the lost culture of Old Tibet and of a remarkable man who inspired thousands. A memoir in the form of tales told by Rinpoche toward the end of his life, the book spans his lifetime — a lifetime rich in adventures of both spirit and body. His reminiscences weave a rich tapestry of family history and also describe the lives of some of the most realized and genuine practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism.

More About Blazing Splendor: The Memoirs of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche
What a fantastic read! So exciting to read about the last generation of Tibetan Buddhist masters in Tibet before the communist invasion and all from the point of view of a Buddhist master himself, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. I especially liked the stories about the 15th as well as 16 Karmapas in Tibet. The book helped me understand the arrangement... well written. entertaining, sad and funny at times written by a very humble but highly realized masters who rubbed shoulders with other highly realized master. But reading this then you can see why people want to love in the old authentic Tibet and not the Disneyland one of the tourist mundane world or the harsh propaganda of material... inspiring stories of such great yogis
