Excellent book for help young children adjust and understand what is going on in the process of seeing their father become incarcerated. It is unfortunately today's reality for some and it definitely helps parents with a very difficult situation. I really enjoyed reading this book and believe that children who have a parent in jail must read it. The story is told by a boy "Sketch," whom sees how his father is arrested one night. This book does an excellent job in addressing how children who have a parent in jail can open up about their feelings and the things they can do to... Books like this can either be really iffy, but this one was great. It does an excellent job of showing what it's like from a child's point of view when a parent goes to jail. The book goes step by step through what happened from the police coming to pick up the father to going to visit him in prison. Feelings, confusion, and counseling...
