Recent Marvel art books have been really excellent and Guardians is certainly not a disappointment. Not only is the book well produced, but this one feels hefty. The art is beautiful and covers pretty much every aspect of the movie you could hope for. It seemed like there was a little more text and better insight into the design decisions... This gives me a much better appreciation of the movie and a sense of scale to just how much work and planning went into making it the success it turned out to be. The slipcover is pretty nice and the book is HUGE. There is a lot of art and sadly a lot of it is very generic sci-fi concept art (alien cities, colorful people etc.), it's well done but it's just nothing too special. Then there's a few two page spread images that have visibly lower resolution than the other pictures. On pages 30-31...
