A very straightforward narrative. Nothing remotely "scholarly". Does it add anything? A very enjoyable and brief history of one of England's favourite Kings. Cole does a good job of remaining impartial throughout and gives her facts clearly and in a very readable manner. The book does lack slightly for depth and is probably best used just as a starting point for the period/King Henry.
