Reread it - changed from 3 stars to 2 because I was reminded of how much I disliked the Diabolus Ex Machina at the end Res Murphy is my kind of hero: reluctant, stronger than she knows and willing to hurt (both herself and the baddies.)This book is an incredible mix of totally believable characters with absolutely incredible circunstances.Both humans and non-humans busily poke themselves into each other's territory with motives big and small. Realities... Dark fantasy is not normally my preferred genre, but this book was recommended to me so I gave it a try. I enjoyed reading this book. The story had enough twists and turns in it to keep you reading. The main character was not exactly likeable, but I found her fascinating nevertheless.
